Book Review: "The Help"
Now a major motion picture, "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett, is a story set in the 1960s and revolves around African American maids that worked in the white household of the time.

"The Help" is now a motion picture that has received excellent reviews by critics.
The book is written in the point of view of three different authors - two of which are maids and one is a recent, white, college graduate who dreams of becoming a writer. When she graduated college and heads back home, Skeeter stumbles back into a world where the color of your skin sets you apart from one another. In attempts to better understand why the world is the way it is, she decides to get to the bottom of this struggle and sets out to write about it.
Along the way Skeeter uncovers truths and secrets that shock the world around her when the book finally gets published. The book shows the world what these maids have to put up with and go through on a regular basis.
Ranked in the top 50 books on Amazon, this book is a great one to get into, especially if you have not had the opportunity to see the movie!
