Try these for an added taste of goodness during the Holiday Season!

Here's a different kind of holiday cookie that you might never have heard of. They are called Molasses Cinnamon Chip Cookies with a Cinnamon Drizzle.

Ingredients (for cookies):
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup molasses
1 large egg
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup Hershey's cinnamon chips

Ingredients (for drizzle):
6 tbsp. butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Pre-heat oven at 350 degrees ... in a large bowl or a stand mixture, blend the sugar, oil, molasses, spices and salt on medium for 3 minutes ... add the egg and mix until completely blended ... add in baking soda and flour (1/2 cup at a time) ... mix on medium speed until all the flou is incorporated ... pour in cinnamon chips and stir to distribute ... with a spoon or cookie dough scoop, form small balls of dough and place on a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam baking spray ... put cookie sheet in the oven for 10-12 minutes ... let the cookie sheet cool for about 3 minutes before you remove the cookies.

While cookies are cooling, prepare the cinnamon drizzle ... cream the butter in mixer ... add powdered sugar, about 1 cup at a time until completely combined ... at this point, it may be dry and crumbly ... add milk and mix well ... incorporate cinnamon and vanilla.

Once cookies are completely cooled, place icing in a small ziploc sandwich bag ... cut a very small hole in the corner and drizzle icing over cookies.

The deliciousness is now ready for consumption ... enjoy!
