What's Ahead on Campus

A brief look at activities of interest that will be taking place on the Lubbock Christian University campus over the next few days.
Big Blue Christmas - The "Big Blue Family Christmas" makes its inaugural debut tonight on the campus of Lubbock Christian University. Bundle up the kids and head to LCU as we celebrate a very special day. There will be food, games and lots of fun for mom, dad, kids and everyone!
The action gets started at 5:30 pm when pictures can be taken with Santa until 7:30 pm in the Betty Hancock Parlor. From 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm folks can take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner in the LCU Dining Hall ($6.50 for adults, $4.00 for children 4-10 and fee to children under 4). Complimentary hot chocolate and hot spiced cider will be served beginning at 6:30 pm and the "Lighting of the Chap" with Christmas carols from Forte' will place at 7:00 pm. At 7:30 pm "Welcome to Whoville" will feature complimentary festivities including a popcorn and snack bar, candy bar, cookie decorating, craft area, photo booth, a chance to have your picture taken with the Grinch as well as Christmas games and much, much more.
The evening culminates with an opportunity to view "The Grinch" in front of the SUB.
Johnson Hall Holiday Open House - Celebrate the season as the men of Johnson Hall host the Johnson Hall Holiday Open House Tuesday night from 7:00 to 11:00 pm. The men of the "Man Cave" have spent hours decorating the hall for this annual event and want to show off their work. Come enjoy food and fun in an amazing Holiday Wonderland!
Alpha Chi Devo - Everyone be sure to come out on Wednesday the 4th as Alpha Chi's very own Preston Elkins comes and speaks to us. Be in the SUB at 9:00 pm!
Finals Pancake Supper and Family Feud - Carb up for exams and nourish those brain cells with some FREE flapjacks and Family Feud hosted by Dr. Fehr in the Cafe from 9:30-10:30 pm on Thursday, December 5! Free bluebooks and scantrons while supplies last!
Rock Climbing Competition - The end of semester climbing competition is here! The competition is set for Friday, Dec. 6 at 1:30 p.m. in the Rec Center. There will be beginner and experienced divisions for both males and females. Sweet prizes will be given to the top climbers in each division. NO CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT!!! Sign up at the Rec Center.
Breakfast with Santa – The Behavioral Sciences Society is helping Buckner Children's Home have a function this Saturday, December 7th. It is from 9:00 - 11:45 am, and we will be helping kids with various arts and crafts. Please sign up if you would like to go to this event by e-mailing: email@example.com.
