Bandana makes student easy to spot on campus

Walton laughs
Jesse Walton (with the bandana) enjoys a laugh during a photo session for Best Friends during the 2012-13 school year. Fellow group members Kelsea McNeill (left) and Bobby Hooten don't see quite as much humor in the situation. (below) Walton can usually be seen rolling around campus on his skateboard - wearing his trademark bandana along the way.

Who is the mysterious young man on campus always sporting the bandana you might ask? Jesse Walton, a senior math major, who was born and raised in Weatherford (TX), is the mystery man.

During his high school days, Walton was an incredibly busy student with activities abounding at every turn. Jesse was involved in basketball, football, tennis, student council, National Honor Society, and he was the Weatherford HS Homecoming King, as well as Mr. WHS.

It only stood to reason that Jesse would land on a college campus and become immediately involved in a plethora of activities.

As a student on the LCU campus, Jesse has been and continues to be a member of Praise Choir. He is also a three-year member of Best Friends a cappella singing group. He is very recognizable in Best Friends because he is the guy who always wears the bandana and gets the crowd excited for Jesus.

"I started wearing bandanas last summer because of summer camp, and just never stopped wearing them," said Jesse when asked about his affinity for the colorful headwear.

Jesse plans to graduate in May, and leave his legacy as always being known as the "guy with the bandana."

He is unsure of what he is going to do when he leaves, but he is going to wing it. Jesse has loved his time at LCU and stated, "LCU has made me a better person and has helped me form lasting relationships."
