A brief look at activities of interest that will be taking place on the Lubbock Christian University campus over the next week.

Tyler Webster and her Lady Chap volleyball teammates close their season with three matches at the Rip Griffin Center this week.

Monday (11/11):

Let's Start Talking - Let's Start Talking is a great way to see the world and share your faith! There will be a second informational meeting Monday, November 11th at 7:00pm in CDC 111. Tuesday (11/12):

Doubleheader at the RIPLCU athletics is setting aside a special time to honor our veterans on Tuesday, November 12, during the volleyball match between LCU and West Texas A&M, beginning at 6:30pm.  There will be food for our veterans and their families, plus a special recognition between the 2nd and 3rd sets of the match.  The Athletic Department would like to encourage any of the faculty, staff and students, who have served in our military, to attend so we may honor them!

Following the volleyball match, the Lady Chaps basketball team will be hosting Eastern New Mexico University in a game, scheduled to begin at 8:30pm.

Come out to the Rip and enjoy some good competition!  And remember, admission is FREE  for faculty/staff and their families.

Thursday (11/14):

MSA Hosts Night of Fun – The MSA (Minority Student Association) wants to invite the student body out to enjoy a night of fun. There will be yummy snacks and games. It will be held in the SUB area from 7:00pm-to-9:00pm this Thursday. The student that wears the most chap gear will win a $30 CHEDDARS GIFT CARD!!!! We hope to see you guys there!!!

Thursday (11/14) and Saturday (11/16):

Volleyball Closes out Season There will be more volleyball on tap for Lady Chaps to cheer as they play the final games of their season.  Thursday, at 7:00pm, the ladies will play host to St. Edward's University and on Saturday, at Noon, they will play McMurry University.

Friday (11/15):

Men's Basketball Opens Campaign On Friday evening the men's basketball team will open their season in a game versus Open Bible College at 7:00pm in the Rip Griffin Center.

Saturday (11/16):

Lubbock Chapter Project Linus - On Saturday, Nov 16th, the Lubbock Chapter Project Linus will be holding its Annual Workday in the LCU library.

Visitors of all ages are encouraged to join the workday from 10am-3pm.

The annual workday is an opportunity to share the mission of Project Linus and make blankets for local children in need. Participants may bring their own projects, work on blankets already started, or just drop in to meet the "blanketeers" and learn more about the Lubbock chapter.

Don't know how to sew? Not a problem! You can help make a soft, cuddly fleece blanket without sewing.
