The weekend kicked off on Thursday when Homecoming chapel took place. At this event, the Homecoming King and Queen are announced and crowned (we'll tell you the winners in tomorrow's Duster). All of the winners of the Homecoming Court were present at this ceremony.
Friday's events continue the weekend-long celebration. There will be an Alumni Art Exhibit as well as a reception where viewers can meet the artists. The Class Reunion Buffet Dinner will take place at 6:00 pm Friday evening and will feature several of the classes from LCU ranging from the 1960s to the late 2000s. There will also be a 50th Reunion reception for the classes of 1961 and 1962 as well. Master Follies starts off on Friday, also, at 7:30 pm. Each club on campus will perform their show and audiences will be able to watch them along with a variety of music from the hosts and hostesses throughout the evening.
The weekend ends on Saturday, but is still stuffed full of events to attend starting off with the Social Club Breakfasts. Each social club invites their family members as well as alumni to come take part in a breakfast and fellowship time at 8:30 am. Following the breakfasts, Alumni Chapel will take place at 10:15 am where worship will be led by the alumni and the Homecoming Court will be presented once more. There will be several departmental and class reunions that take place throughout the day, as well. The Master Follies show will take place at both 3:00 pm and 7:30 pm on Saturday for more audiences to come and enjoy. To end the day, the Alumni Awards Dinner will take place in addition to a concert by LCU's a capella singing group, Best Friends.

Homecoming Weekend 2012
Homecoming 2012 is just around the corner. As alumni and current students get ready for this big event, the Lubbock Christian University campus is buzzing with excitement for the events to come.
