An Old Fairytale Comes to Life in 3D
I'm sure you know the story of "Beauty and the Beast." A handsome prince turned into a hideous beast from a curse.
A childhood classic now in 3D.
Unable to turn back into himself until he is loved unconditionally by another and until the last rose petal falls. My story around "Beauty and the Beast" started when I was three-years old.
"Beauty and the Beast" was the first movie that I ever saw in the theaters. I was three-years old and my mom took me the week it opened. I don't remember that exact moment, but the fact that my mom took the time to take me at such a young age and it's still one of the fondest things to think about from my childhood. A few years later, my mom, her best friend, and I (age seven) took a girls trip to New York City and I saw my first Broadway production - "Beauty and The Beast." I remember the whole night and it's most likely because up to that point it was the most magical night of my young life. To see the story that I had loved for so long come to life was priceless and unforgettable.
So, naturally when I saw that "Beauty and the Beast" was being re-released in 3D in theaters I had to see it. It was just as magical as I had remembered, but just more in your face (because of the 3D). I mouthed along with the words and the songs. It was definitely fun to travel back to my childhood. You might feel like you are too big to see a Disney movie or go somewhere you went when you were young, but I think that it is worth remembering those times. It is definitely worth it.
"Beauty and the Beast" is playing in regular screen and in 3D at your local theater now!! Check it out!!!
